In 2021, the City of Kirkwood was awarded a Transportation Alternatives Program grant to restore the Station. Originally constructed in 1893 as a Missouri Pacific depot. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and contributes significantly to the Downtown Kirkwood National Historic District.
