City of Kirkwood, MO

NAVIGATE is managing pre-construction and construction of the historic Kirkwood Train Station.  In 2021, the City of Kirkwood was awarded a Transportation Alternatives Program grant to restore the Station. Originally constructed in 1893 as a Missouri Pacific depot.  It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and contributes significantly to the Downtown Kirkwood National Historic District.  

Project scope includes:

·      Improve Building’s Functionality as a Train Station

·      Allowing Future Flexibility as a Multi-Purpose Event Venue

·       Preservation & Repair of Envelope & Interiors, including Replacement of Existing Roof with Slate

·       Reconstruction of Original 1893 Passenger Canopy Extension

·       Construction of New Storage Building

·       Construction of New Larger ADA-Accessible Restrooms

·       Collaboration with AMTRAK
